JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Business Intelligence team as a Business Analyst. This role will serve as the BI link between our Marketing and Business Intelligence departments, driving data-driven decision-making and enhancing our customer journey analytics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Marketing Data, Systems, & Activity Analysis
- Collaborate with Marketing to identify and define goals for data analysis projects and supporting KPIs
- Ensure alignment between marketing needs and BI capabilities in platform utilization
- Conduct regular analysis on marketing initiative activity, providing analysis and strategic takeaways to Marketing leadership
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards that provide actionable insights into the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Facilitate effective communication and knowledge transfer between departments
- Customer Journey Data Design, Analytics, & Reporting
- Work closely with BI Analysts to develop and maintain comprehensive Customer Journey Analytics dashboards
- Collaborate with the VP, Business Intelligence to update and expand data dictionaries for all data sources, ensuring consistency and clarity in data definitions across the organization through direct training and firm-wide relationship management
- Interpret data to provide actionable insights for enhanced marketing and business development strategies, including:
- Report development
- New workflow design and firm-wide implementation
- Team-level dashboarding
- Overall System Strategy Design & Collaboration
- As the Business Intelligence department continues to evaluate systems and enhance data governance across all systems, serve as the advocate for marketing analytics
- Ensure that the needs for data quality, strategy, completeness, and accessibility are fully considered and integrated into the overall system design and refinement processes
- Stay updated on industry trends in marketing analytics
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
NECESSARY SKILLS INCLUDE:
The ideal candidate combines an analytical mindset with strength in data visualization. Additional requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business intelligence, analytics, marketing analytics, or related field
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst or related function
- Experience with a nonprofit development office desired
- Knowledge of data collection, data management, analysis, and reporting best practices
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Passion for philanthropy and serving the nonprofit sector
- Experience with Power BI or similar required
- Experience with HubSpot preferred
- Knowledge of SQL preferred
