Account Management Leader– Professional Team
Responsible for hiring, training and the ongoing development of team members for the non-accredited sales market and corporate sales. Identifies and handles performance issues. Builds strategic and tactical plans to lead the team towards exceeding sales goals. Facilitates product sessions and team meetings. Cultivates a positive and productive team environment. Responsible for team sampling budget, sales target achievement, travel & expense budgets, and various sales incentives. Forecasts sales and provides marketing feedback to publishing partners. Participates in customer calls when needed, works with reps one to one on a weekly basis and as needed on a customer demand basis.
  • Coordinate daily sales activities to meet daily metrics and sales goals. Daily metrics will be set by DM in coordination with upper leadership.
  • Support professional sales team in the creation, planning and prioritizing of individual closing strategies resulting in increased sales.
  • Assist in the identification of short- and long-term adoption potential in a given territory.
  • Partner with the sales team to drive digital sales opportunities within each territory.
  • Partner with Sales Leader by providing updates on current business trends, account updates, account strategy, opportunity pipeline, and future market development potential for new business leads.
  • Hire and develop top talent into the organization.
  • Responsible for succession planning, including coaching and mentoring for the next step in their career.
  • Strategic analysis of territories by ensuring efficient and effective use of internal key sales tools including Salesforce and Data Warehouse to increase opportunity potential.
Required:
  • Proven knowledge of the college textbook sales process.
  • BA or BS degree.
  • Three years sales experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective management and prioritization of ongoing multiple tasks.
  • Proven track record to effectively partner with internal peers to accomplish goals
  • Travel 20-30% of the year as needed
Preferred:
  • B2B selling experience preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills preferred.

Base Pay Range
The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
$63,800.00 - $102,100.00 USD
