TRG is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to provide Program Support to the Military to Civilian Transition Office (MCTO). The Military-Civilian Transition Office (MCTO) requires programmatic research, analysis, assessments, product development, document drafting, recommendations, coordination, synchronization, and analytic support services for Service members preparing for their next step in life - whether pursuing an additional vocational trade or higher education, finding employment in the public or private sector, or starting their own business; or Reserve Component (RC) members and their families adjusting to pre- and post-activation, mobilization or deployment. MCTO designs cohesive, modular, outcome-based training, events and courses that bolsters and standardizes the opportunities, services, and training to promote effective and efficient support of transitioning Service members and members of the National Guard and Reserve, their families, and communities worldwide.This position is currently hybrid. Work may be performed directly at the customer facility in Alexandria, VA (The Mark Center - https://markcenter.com/), at the TRG headquarters in McLean, VA, or remotely.Security Clearance: Ability to meet adjudication guidelines to maintain a critical non-sensitive billet (Tier 3/Tier 3R Investigation)Travel: Minimal to moderate Travel - CONUSCore hours for DC location are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm EST.Duties and Responsibilities:• Responsible for developing and implementing a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.• Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Visualize, interpret, report data findings, and may create dynamic data reports.• Develop statistical analysis plans and data management procedures using relational database principles, protocols, and methodology.• Integrates and analyzes data from many sources, including resolving data problems.• Conduct complex and detailed quantitative statistical analyses, using statistical analysis software such as SAS, to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of programs and service delivery.• Perform quantitative statistical analyses using complex analytic methods, including multiple regression, general linear model, correlation, t-test, creating composite variables, and longitudinal analysis.• Perform qualitative statistical analysis of large datasets of written comments to identify themes and draw validated conclusions.Experience and Technical Qualifications:• Required: A Bachelor's degree that included 15 semester hours in statistics (or in mathematics and statistics, provided at least 6 semester hours were in statistics), and 9 additional semester hours in one or more of the following: physical or biological sciences, medicine, education, or engineering; or in the social sciences including demography, history, economics, social welfare, geography, international relations, social or cultural anthropology, health sociology, political science, public administration, psychology, etc. Credits toward meeting statistical course requirements should be given for courses in which 50 percent of the course content appears to be statistical methods, e.g., courses that included studies in research methods in psychology or economics such as tests and measurements or business cycles, or courses in methods of processing mass statistical data such as tabulating methods or electronic data processing.• Preferred: Military Veterans that live locally.• Preferred: Previous experience working within the Military to Civilian Transition Office (MCTO).The Rehancement Group, Inc. provides competitive salaries commensurate with education and experience with full options for advancement and a robust benefits program.The Rehancement Group is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
