Centria Healthcare Autism Services is the largest provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the state of Michigan, with services in other states.
Position Summary
The Junior HR Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with team members and management across our service lines as well as supporting the other Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) in their regions with employee relations elements, investigations, and other people opportunities. The position formulates partnerships within its regions to deliver value-added service to management and team members that reflects the overall business objectives. The position maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attends weekly meetings with HRBPs and respective business units. Consults with center management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manages and resolves team member relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the Legal Department as needed/required.
- Ensures that HR regulatory items are incorporated via process and technology (i.e., HRIS) for future growth.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with HRBPs, management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance, interpretation, creation, and implementation to enhance policy and overall understanding/implementation of such.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual leadership coaching needs. Partners with Clinical Excellence Team to ensure a training plan for building and enhancing the management and leadership skill set of the Clinical Directors and Supervising Clinicians as well as other training needs that exist.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Ensures company-wide people initiatives are fully implemented within their region, this includes but is not limited to TMX Survey (participation and improvements), Performance Management Process, Clinical Initiatives, etc.
- Performs proactive compensation analysis for their markets, as needed, to ensure market competitive rates by position are being recommended, agreed to, and implemented.
- Optimizes organizational design to increase productivity and improve performance of the business.
- Collaborates with other HR team members on implementing innovative and inclusive recruitment strategies.
- Collaborates with leadership to support and drive diversity and inclusion initiatives for the region.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Pay Range
$60K - $70K plus bonus
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4 years of directly applicable HR experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- PHR/SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SPHR/SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
Work Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues with at least 3 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist
- 3+ Years of experience in human resource disciplines, including benefits, performance management, unemployment administration, workers compensation, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, team member and union relations, diversity, and federal and state respective employment laws.

Working Conditions
- Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Additional time or occasional shift in schedule may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.
- This role may support time zones outside of the one in which they reside and flexibility in scheduling will be needed to support the markets or regions assigned.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting most of the day as well as walking and standing periodically. This role may require close visual acuity on computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
