EXAMPLE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This role will be supporting the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) Headquarters (HQ) at USFF Norfolk, Virginia at a Government facility/site. As a member of their USFF Communications and Information Systems Division (N6) Support Team, you will significantly contribute to Navy Fleet Readiness and Homeland Security. The team is involved in information technology (IT) support tasks including but are not limited to Program Management support, Network Engineering support, Maritime Operations Center/Tactical Systems support, Video Teleconferencing and Audio/Visual support, Portal Management and Application Development support, Staff IT Business Process/IT Services support, Satellite Communications Planning support, Information Assurance (IA)/Certification and Accreditation support, Database Administration support, Communications Security/EKMS support, and general IT support, as well as maintenance, updating and enhancement of developed application/software.
Job Responsibilities:
· Systems Management of all USFF owned/managed Secret, Coalition and Unclassified network support systems.
· Configure and deploy new and/or additional clients on the locally managed networks.
· Application server administration and configuration including but not limited to Single Sign On, Identity Management, Public Key Infrastructure Management, Cryptographic Log On, Server Replication, Backups and Load Balancing.
· On-site operational and functional support for application end users and support personnel, for but not limited to application deployment, active directory management, data recovery services, client hardware and software support.
· Analysis and guidance for application architectural enhancements including but not limited to: IA/security, high availability, scalability, capacity planning, network design, cable plant and IP management.
· Maintain the systems and applications security integrity including maintaining and updating the C&A packages and maintaining compliance with current IA policies.
· Apply Defense in Depth methodologies to the hardening to all associated networks and systems.
· Provide 24x7 on-call technical support as related to operational support of USFF.
Job Requirements:
· BA/BS in related field and no experience, or AA/AS in related field or Computer Network Administration Certification and 6 years related experience. In lieu of formal education, 8 years of related experience.
· Knowledge of and experience providing systems administration of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office SharePoint Services and Microsoft SQL Server.
· Knowledge of the Defense Information Systems Agency published STIG requirements and implementation/compliance process.
· Knowledge of CND compliance requirements for all managed networks and systems.
· Knowledge in the operations and maintenance of the DOD’s HBSS.
· Experience in virtualization technology such as VMWare.
· Must have an active secret clearance
