THE ROLE
The Communications Specialist will be responsible for executing against both internal and external strategies to support Certinia’s business and growth goals. This role reports to Certinia’s VP, Global Corporate Communications and supports the communications team in elevating awareness for Certinia portfolio and brand.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to have impact by helping to increase awareness for Certinia’s solutions and for the company as a great place to work. This position requires focus, passion, dedication and attention to detail but the culture is genuinely collaborative and you will have great flexibility and a lot of fun.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE
Social Media
- Work with Certinia’s PR agency partner to develop and manage social media calendars and content for ~5 key leaders as well as Certinia’s brand profiles, focusing primarily on LinkedIn but experience managing a variety of social media channels for B2B preferred.
- Generate, edit, publish and share social media content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action and build engagement
- Develop associated graphics/creative content for social media as-needed. Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Report on social media program performance monthly and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Experience with Google Analytics preferred but not required.
- Work with communications and marketing leads to promote planned live and virtual events, including developing detailed social media plans for key events such as Dreamforce.
- Develop content for employee social advocacy platforms and report engagement metrics monthly.
- Work cross-functionally across comms/marketing to coordinate paid social activities and identify new opportunities to increase brand awareness and thought leadership via sponsored activities.
- Manage company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
- Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
Operations, Measurement & Analysis
- Assist with the coordination of paid media sponsorships, such as the cadence and placement of sponsored by-lines
- Manage the communications team activity calendar and keep stakeholders accountable based on active priorities. Experience with project management tools like Asana is preferred.
- General upkeep of Certinia newsroom on Certinia.com, such as adding new press hits when they publish
- Assist in upkeep of internal communications channels such as Slack and Intranet.
- Support the planning and execution of internal events and initiatives.
- Other general internal communications support as needed
- Assist with regular program reporting around internal and communications such as open and clickthrough rates, feedback forms, and focus groups
- Track and measure PR hits for campaigns, social media analysis and weekly/monthly report-outs.
- Assist with pulling together Communications highlights and metrics for C-Suite and Board-level engagements.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
- Strong content writing skills, and experience with digital/social platforms. Operations experience a plus. Graphic design experience a plus.
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Highly accountable with a desire to deliver projects to the broader business
- Desire and ability to work on a small, nimble team
- Ability to translate detailed information into simple messages and soundbites
- Self-starter, who is highly organized, a clear communicator and excels in a highly collaborative organization.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage shifting priorities
- Positive attitude, creative, detail and customer-oriented, comfortable working with data-driven insights and decision-making
- Strong oral, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
WHAT ELSE WOULD BE GREAT
- Operational experience including strong reporting and analytical skills
- Graphic design experience a plus
Salary Range: $67,200 - $92,400
