At CesiumAstro, we are developers and pioneers of out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We take pride in our dynamic and cross-functional work environment, which allows us to learn, develop, and engage across our organization. If you are looking for hands-on, interactive, and autonomous work, CesiumAstro is the place for you. We are actively seeking passionate, collaborative, energetic, and forward-thinking individuals to join our team.
We are looking to add an Electronics Test Engineer I to our team. If you are great at what you do, enjoy working in a startup environment, and are passionate about developing critical test systems for leading-edge satellite, spacecraft, and aerospace communication systems, we would like to hear from you.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans and test equipment for space and airborne electronics. In the space industry, test engineering is a critical technical field that combines deep technical knowledge with extensive hands-on experience. Level I Test Engineers play a broad role that ranges from authoring test plans and procedures to designing test PCBs, along with spending plenty of time in the lab assembling and testing cutting-edge phased array systems and components.
Test Engineers work with electronics from the “design for testability” stage through verification and validation of high-speed digital circuits, power electronics, embedded systems, and more. Examples of projects may include designing and implementing verification systems for 10-gigabit data links, power control loops, and integrated RF systems. This may include designing custom circuit boards for test and integration purposes.
The ideal candidate is strong in electronics and test theory as well as hands-on lab work. Industry exposure to measurement techniques, test architectures, and automation are preferred. The successful candidate will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to address company-wide hardware test needs.
Mentorship and growth are key to long-term success. The successful candidate will be surrounded by more experienced engineers in hardware as well as software, FPGAs, RF, mechanical, and other fields. Rapid technical and professional growth is both encouraged and expected.
CesiumAstro considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills. Full-time employment offers include company stock options and a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life, disability and retirement plans.
CesiumAstro is an Equal Opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected Veteran Status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
Please note: CesiumAstro does not accept unsolicited resumes from contract agencies or search firms. Any unsolicited resumes submitted to our website or to CesiumAstro team members not through our approved vendor list or Talent Acquisition will be considered property of CesiumAstro, and we will not be obligated to pay any referral fees.
If an employer mentions a salary or salary range on their job, we display it as an "Employer Estimate". If a job has no salary data, Rise displays an estimate if available.
