Position DescriptionThis position is located in our Cleveland, Ohio office, however a hybrid working model is acceptable.We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate and guide the agile delivery of banking originations projects.Your future duties and responsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies, exceptional leadership skills, and experience working in the financial services industry, specifically within banking originations (loan and account originations). As a Scrum Master, you will empower teams to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance the customer experience while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.• Agile Facilitation: Lead and coach multiple cross-functional Agile teams through all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives).• Project Delivery: Support teams in delivering loan and account origination projects on time by removing impediments, ensuring focus on sprint goals, and maintaining a continuous flow of deliverables.• Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment between developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment on project objectives.• Product Backlog Management: Assist the Product Owner in refining and prioritizing the backlog to ensure the team is focused on delivering the highest value features.• Continuous Improvement: Promote and support continuous improvement practices within the team to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Agile process.• Impediment Removal: Proactively identify and remove obstacles that are hindering the team’s progress, working with other departments or stakeholders as needed.• Progress Monitoring: Track team progress, velocity, and performance using Agile tools like Jira, ensuring transparency on project status for all stakeholders.• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and changes to timelines or deliverables.• Agile Mentorship: Mentor and coach team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and fostering an Agile mindset across the organization.• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and collaborate with the team to mitigate or address them early in the process.Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, or a related field. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification required.• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in the financial services or banking industry, with specific experience in banking originations (loan and account originations).• Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and practical experience in applying them to complex projects.• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead Agile teams, manage conflict, and foster a positive and productive team environment.• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into business terms and present to stakeholders.• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, assess, and resolve project issues quickly and efficiently while keeping the team focused on sprint goals.• Banking Knowledge: Knowledge of banking originations, loan origination systems (LOS), and customer onboarding processes is highly desirable.• Agile Tools: Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence etc• Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with digital transformation in the banking industry.• Experience in coaching teams transitioning to Agile methodologies.• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelinesCGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
