The Cage Cashier is responsible for: processing customer and interdepartmental personnel transactions; redeeming chips for members, conducting currency exchanges, securing and documenting all recordable transactions made with company assets, balancing the bank at end of shift, possessing basic knowledge of Title 31 regulations; and performing job responsibilities satisfactorily and according to department standards.
Key Responsibilities:- It is the primary responsibility of the Cage Cashier to process monetary transactions and exchanges with guests and staff in the Poker cage area
- Perform frontline entry level transactions, chip bank transactions, poker transactions and employee bank/window transactions
- Secure and document all recordable transactions made with company assets
- Complete electronic multiple transaction logs accurately, complete transaction logs manually, when necessary
- Assist guests with general information upon request
- Issue or surrender safety deposit boxes
- Perform other job-related duties as requested including ensuring the poker room and cage area are kept clean, tidy and well organized at all times
- Establish new accounts following Title 31 guidelines
- Secure and document all recordable transactions made with company assets
- Sell chips to runners and floor personnel following departmental guidelines
- Requires the use of computer, POS hardware, money counter, currency scanner, calculator, telephone and other basic office equipment
- Checks bank at the beginning of shifts and balances bank at the end of shift to ensure proper cash handling
- Address issues in a professional manner through effective interpersonal communication
- Communicate with other departmental personnel, co-workers, management and guests
- Deliver exceptional customer service
Skills and Abilities:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- One (1) year of high-volume cash handling experience preferred
- One (1) year of poker and/or chip handling experience preferred
- Understand and comply with all poker rules and regulations
- Capability to make change with currency
- Exemplary time management including good attendance
- Ability to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
- Ability to maintain peak performance during fast- pace environments
- Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adhere to all company policies and the code of conduct
- Competence to mentally solve basic addition, subtraction and multiplication problems
- Ability to speak, hear, and write in basic English
- Ability to stand for long periods
