WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This is an exciting opportunity to launch a channel sales organization from the ground up. We are looking for a highly motivated, goal-oriented channel sales manager who will design, build, and execute strategic relationships with key partners to drive revenue, stimulate growth and maximize sales opportunities.
The Sounding Board Channel Sales Manager will work alongside Sales and our Customer Experience teams, as well as other cross-functional teams, to support the channel sales strategy of Sounding Board and its partners. This person will become an expert on Sounding Board’s value proposition, to enhance how our partners sell to their customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience in channel development and management, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of a channel sales process as well as experience in human capital, leadership development, and the coaching industry.
Additional Channel Sales Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Establish and implement a process, criteria, and controls for selection, management, and performance of channel partners, with a focus on HR technology, professional services and consulting organizations in the Human Capital space
Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, and work closely with them to achieve mutual goals
Collaborate with the sales team to align sales and channel efforts
Measure and report on the performance of channel partners
Manage channel partner budgets, pipelines and ARR forecasts
Identify and resolve conflicts and challenges within the channel
Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships and promote the company
Develop and execute a channel sales strategy with a focus on driving awareness, implementing new channel partnerships, and retaining/growing existing partners
Provide support and guidance to ensure partners are successful in delivering and implementing Sounding Board’s products and solutions
Drive partner relationships with key stakeholders to increase pipeline acceleration
Define partner business plans with specific quantifiable goals to drive revenue target achievement
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS ARE REQUIRED?
Proven track record of exceeding annual targets
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales channel development and marketing programs which result in revenue generation
Experience with HR technology
Experience working within professional services and consulting firms or industry
Proven sales ability including: pricing, relationship management and consultative selling
Must be highly self-motivated and have the ability to work independently
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-starter mentality with strong initiative and the ability to work sales thru partner channels
Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
5+ years Enterprise-level sales channel experience
Experience developing channel partners and complex channel relationships
Working with SaaS or other HR technology solutions is preferred
Background communicating with VP, SVP, and C-Level Executives (CHRO or CLO)
4-year college degree required / advanced degree is a plus
Familiarity with relevant systems, e.g. Salesforce, Gong, Google Suite
