Charles Schwab’s Sweep Platform Management Team (SPM) is accountable for the end-to-end management of the cash sweep platform across the firm. As the central point of product expertise, coordination and communication for the Sweep Platform, SPM is focused on enhancing the resilience, simplicity, and flexibility of the company’s sweep platform, while mitigating inherent risks across the sweep ecosystem. The team’s goal is to build trust, credibility, and strong partnerships with all business lines, technology, and vendors. We set high standards while providing thoughtful and strategic guidance in daily interactions. We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Agile Product Owner to join the SPM team. The Agile Product Owner will support the Sweep platform working with Technology Agile Teams, but may assist with additional Product Support Functions, including but not limited to assisting with running small projects, rep inquiries, risk and audit. The primary responsibility would be to harmonize business objectives with technology development by demonstrating leadership, perspective, consistency of approach, and quality assurance to assigned projects. What you are good at • Working with the leadership team on annual business plans, quarterly roadmaps, and proposals • Partnering with business owners to intake enhancement requests, document impact, and define detailed requirements • Managing platform backlog, aligning with technology on business priorities, and communicating progress updates to stakeholders • Assisting with requirement writing using iterative Agile methodology in JIRA, defining acceptance criteria, partnering with technology, attending scrum meetings, and implementing technical enhancements • Collaborating with technology on backlog grooming, iteration planning and release planning • Performing technical certifications during internal and external production releases, outside of regular business hours • Supporting business team day-to-day platform questions and assist in production support triage, acting as a liaison with technology partners, and escalate as needed • Assisting with analysis interviews, facilitation of discussions, and communicating with impacted areas regarding projects. • Investigating and validating reported issues to assess risk and exposure and ultimately provide input on prioritization • Training business users on new product features What you have To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have. This position requires experience in many key areas important in this role. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of Brokerage Operation and/or business analysis experience or equivalent experience • Agile training and knowledge of JIRA • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and other MS Office Products • Experience in the various facets of testing; test documentation, execution, and supporting others through the testing life cycle • Experience assisting in business requirement gathering and documentation • Ability to effectively manage and lead projects within a cross functional project team (internal and external technology, operations, product, and business organizations) Preferred Qualifications • BA/BS degree • Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Bank Sweep experience • Experience working with vendors • Excellent Collaborative skills, working with multiple stakeholders to identify the right solution for the right time • Excellent oral and written communications skills with internal and external customers; experience and comfort presenting to stakeholders and leadership teams • FINRA Series 7 or 99 What’s in it for you At Schwab, we’re committed to empowering our employees’ personal and professional success.
