Chief of Staff

What You'll Do

• PMO Chief of Staff will report directly to CTO, take the budget, and product priorities, and allocate new projects, ensuring PMs and Scrum Masters have clarity.
• Work closely with the PMs / SMs to ensure projects are on track and any escalations are handled.
• Providing guidance, coaching, development, and performance management of Project Managers and Scrum Masters.
• Researches; implements, and maintains best-in-class Project Management methodologies, ensuring integration of recognized standards and quality processes within the team and growth of enterprise capability.
• Builds trusted partnerships with stakeholders at all levels, including internal team members (all staff engagement), executive leaders, and external providers
• Accountable for enterprise-wide communication approaches that drive alignment and accountability, advance decisions, mitigate risks and achieve desired outcomes
• Identifies and integrates appropriate change management methodology for areas of the business impacted by projects within the portfolio
• Leads processes that enable tracking, measurement, and reporting of the portfolio including KPI identification, resource allocation, financial management, and value delivery in support of the organization’s strategic objectives
• Provides analysis, insights, direction, and recommendations on key business issues to improve portfolio health, accelerate value delivery, increase productivity, and mitigate risk
• Role models a process improvement mindset by identifying system inefficiencies where applicable and implementing solutions to improve

What You Know

• Experience running a PMO function within an Agile environment
• 10 years+ of experience in a PM leadership role, managing complex projects and competing priorities within a business environment, preferably within the technology consulting industry
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
• Strong relationship management skills including the ability to manage expectations
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written and excellent presentation skills
• Capacity to manage and deliver multiple projects
• Exhibited and proven leadership skills in motivating, educating, and influencing others with a demonstrable track record in managing a high-performance team
• High level of proficiency with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Education

• Undergraduate/Master’s degree in Business Management and/or a related field of study
• Successful completion of the PMP certification

Compensation Band

• $140-150k per year
