Position Summary:
In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and operate as an extension of the CEO office. You will own strategic ad hoc initiatives across the organization, and work closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to identify opportunities that drive business impact for both our employees and our community members.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and drive key strategic initiatives and priorities across the entire org on behalf of the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
- Work with the CEO and partner closely with the ELT to define and deliver on org wide strategic priorities, goals, and key results. Drive our annual and quarterly strategic planning process
- Collaborate with the ELT to integrate cross functional work of individual departments into Earnin's overarching strategy and maximize business outcomes
- Establish and implement an organizational wide operating model and cadence that ensures each department's ability to deliver on their strategic priorities and facilitates effective communication, cross-functional collaboration, and decision making
- Own and lead key meetings and sessions such as weekly ELT Meetings, Business and Operations Reviews, quarterly business reviews, updates for the Board of Directors, etc.
- Gap filling - step in to support initiatives or temporarily own functions that are slipping through the cracks
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and when needed, act as the CEO's delegate in key business meetings and decisions to represent his voice
What We're Looking For:
- 5-7 years experience in Strategy, Business Operations, Management Consulting, and/or as Chief of Staff to a CEO in a high-growth tech company, fintech preferred
- Deep familiarity with business strategy, and an ability to apply it in a startup context
- Must embrace ambiguity and demonstrate the ability to clarify the path forward for the ELT and augment the CEO's directives
- Proven ability to lead multiple cross-functional work streams and follow through to completion
- A proven track record of collaborating with, partnering with, and enabling great teams with proven ability to influence senior leaders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to represent and showcase complex business or technical concepts with the CEO, ELT, and more broadly with employees
- Detail oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with context and mode switching
- Ability to strike the appropriate balance between being a strategic thinker who sees the big picture and diving into details
