Grow your career by becoming the Chief of Staff (CoS) to MongoDB's Chief People Officer (CPO), working directly with leaders across the business, in particular the People leadership team. The CPO oversees all aspects of Human Resources, collectively referred to as the People Team. This includes talent acquisition, onboarding, employer brand, HR business partnering, employee experience, shared services, compensation & benefits, diversity & inclusion, learning & development, and talent & performance management.

Roles & Responsibilities

Acts as a trusted thought partner, project manager, advisor and "second set of hands" to the Chief People Officer at MongoDB.

  • Serves as an "air traffic controller" to the CPO and the People Leadership Team, managing the flow of information and activities required to deliver the strategic People Team agenda
  • Helps integrate and connect work streams and teams across the People Team that would otherwise remain siloed so they can work together to deliver the objectives for the year
  • Oversees and manages strategic initiatives and programs owned by the CPO in partnership with members of the People Team and other cross-functional teams
  • Drives communication and coordination of priorities and projects across the CPO's organization to ensure alignment of priorities
  • Helps prepare the CPO with high-quality well-structured information (e.g. reports, dashboards, research) to enable her to contribute and make decisions
  • Helps ensure that CPO's time is allocated strategically and helps extend her bandwidth as needed

Profile

This role is ideal for someone that is an early or mid-career professional keen on building a long-term career in Human Resources, and keen on working in a fast-paced high-growth environment where change is a constant.

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in HR business partnering or HR consulting is required. MBA is preferred
  • Strong business acumen and a basic understanding of how value is generated in a business is highly desirable
  • Skills required to excel include:
    • Critical thinking skills - specifically the ability to simplify & work through complex initiatives, connect dots and anticipate outcomes
    • Ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization & manage through influence to get work done
    • Comfortable working through large volumes of tasks that span both proactive opportunities and reactive needs
    • Ability to work with data as a decision-making tool
    • Highly organized with strong attention to details
    • Strong communication skills
    • Must be based in NYC or surrounding commutable areas. Can be a Flexible Working Model. Will be expected to be in NYC frequently
