ROLE OVERVIEW
As CPO you will own Lyst’s strategic product vision and be accountable for its delivery. You will inspire and lead our Product & Design Chapter, a group of people overseeing everything to do with product, user experience and content across our various consumer-facing platforms. You will be at the core of the company, defining product strategy for the business, overseeing its successful delivery and execution and ensuring we truly transition from an acquisition led org to a member first, product led org.
Collaborating with other members of the leadership team, you will set the direction of, and manage, a validated product roadmap strategy with the goal of delivering category leading solutions that enable us to grow as a highly retentive, member first business.
You will be joining a business with a clear vision and ambitious growth plans, and will spearhead our efforts to build the definitive category-leading experience in fashion.
This is a C-Suite leadership position and reports directly into the CEO.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for devising and executing the Lyst product and catalogue strategies across all our consumer touchpoints on app and web. To achieve this, you will:
- Own the product vision for Lyst.
- Partner closely with the CXO to build a highly aligned and commercially compelling product strategy.
- Successfully align teams to execute against the product strategy and drive high accountability through the creation of core product metrics.
- Lead and oversee the Product leadership team; inspiring ideation, technical development, and the launch of innovative products.
- Drive impactful product development by partnering and engaging with our Engineering and Commercial functions.
- Using data, research and customer inputs, consistently review product performance, customer feedback and market trends to improve on Lyst’s product offering.
- Establish yourself as a subject matter expert on the fashion e-commerce ecosystem and deeply embed how our customers build habits around fashion.
- Through mentorship and best-in-class coaching, lead and develop a team of world-class Product and Design professionals, enabling them to consistently deliver high-impact results.
- Manage multiple products and priorities, scale teams, and ensure org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals.
Requirements
- Extensive Product Management and/or Management Consulting experience with a breadth of experience in devising and executing commercially successful consumer products.
- Experience of leading product development and evolution in a data led, consumer facing business.
- Depth of experience in building, leading, and managing product teams that work effectively alongside Engineering to deliver exceptional results.
- Experience building & leading teams comprising product, design & UX and implementing effective operational frameworks for these functions.
- Fashion knowledge and experience is desirable or a clear demonstration of being able to push the customer voice deep into an organisation.
- Confident articulating product vision and delivery strategy in a way that inspires and motivates both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong commercial awareness. Track record of understanding performance, auditing and effective course correction.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present and influence at Board and CXO level.
- Demonstrated ability to work, collaborate and influence cross-functionally.
- Strong analytical mindset with an ability to approach complex problem solving with what’s best for our customer.
