Staff Accountant (Full-Time)

ChildServe has an opening for a Staff Accountant. This team member will be responsible for analyzing financial activity, account reconciliation activities, and assisting with financial reporting for the organization. This entry level role will be supported by a tenured team. 

What You'll Do 

  • Reconciliations - Reconcile various general accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as needed.  

  • Report Preparation - Prepare and analyze reports ensuring accuracy to support business plans, budget and forecasts, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. 

  • Monthly Financial Reporting Duties – Various monthly tasks and journal entries as assigned to facilitate the accuracy of the monthly financials.

  • Analyze Trends – Review revenue/expense fluctuations and investigate reasons for fluctuations. Communicate variances and recommendations for improvement. 

  • Annual Duties - Assist in internal annual processes which include the budgeting process, annual audit preparation, and external reports.

  • Special Projects – Provide support for special projects including, but not limited to, software implementations, process improvements and special requests from other areas within the company. 

What You'll Need

  • Associates degree in Accounting or Finance required. Bachelors degree preferred.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in an accounting or financial field. Internships will be accepted as experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
