PositionJob Title: Payroll SpecialistLocation: New York, NYJob Summary/PurposesThe Payroll Specialist provides full support and oversight to all aspects related to payroll for domestic employees of approximately 1,000 in the US, especially focusing on time and attendance management.Other responsibilities of the position include preparation for impact of proposed changes on the operational environment of various human resources applications, regarding data management and information retrieval and reporting.Job responsibilitiesResponsibilities• Manage the timekeeping process using Kronos system for all employees, exempt & non-exempt, ensuring that hours are accurately tracked and paid.• Test and audit time and attendance compliance and alignment with company policies• Support process improvement efforts by suggesting and developing system integrations between company systems, to drive efficiencies and establish best practices.• Maintain Payroll data integrity in the systems by running queries, analyzing data, and creating and running various audits.• Prepare communications and training to employees to support time keeping system management changes.• Monitor and ensure the accurate payment to all employees, including but not limited to bonuses, commissions, quarterly bonuses, etc.• Maintain Payroll Systems and other databases and tables, including but not limited to, Ulti-pro, ADP & Kronos.• Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare EEOC, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Multi-State Reporting and other statutory compliance as required.• Partner with Legal to address employee compliance in accordance with federal, state, local laws.• Partner with Benefits Coordinator on all leaves of absences including but not limited to Short-Term Disability, FMLA and Workers Compensation claims and ensure the accurate payment to all employees on an approved leave of absence.• Collaborate with shared service center, functional and technical staff, both internal and external, to achieve required Payroll results.• Design communication strategies to train and educate management teams on new payroll approval process.Responsible for special projects as directed to improve and scale compensation and benefit process and strategy.ProfileSkills & Requirements• 3+ years of payroll, compensation and compliance in a multi-state company• Retail experience and advanced Excel proficiency required (vLookup/Pivot tables)• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a highly complex fast paced work environment• Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and professionalism with sensitive information• Multi-state payroll laws and compliance• Must be detail oriented and organized• Strong planning and organizational skills• Strong PC skills• Strong Microsoft office skills• KRONOS, Ulti-pro, systems experience a plus• Regular attendance and punctuality.• Ability to professionally interact with management and coworkers.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong Organizational Skills, Multi-tasking And Prioritizing Capabilities.Additional informationThe appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of $25-$30 per hour/annually, plus potential eligibility to participate in the Company's medical benefits plan, commuter benefits, and 401k plans with employer contributions.Additional InformationChristian Dior was the designer of dreams.
