What’s the Role?

As an Analyst I in the R&D group, you will provide analytical support to ensure the continued success of our existing products and you will contribute to the scientific development of innovative and high-quality consumer brands and ingredients. You will be responsible for testing of analytical samples on various laboratory equipment.

 

What you’ll do:

·         Perform routine and non-routine analytical characterization of in-process samples, raw materials, dietary supplements, and other consumer brands using HPLC-UV, Karl Fisher, GC-MS, and GC-FID.

·         Ensure accurate and timely documentation of results. Interpret results and communicate to peers and managers.

·         Schedule and/or perform troubleshooting, maintenance and qualification for HPLC and other laboratory equipment.

·         Author and review technical workplans, reports, and SOPs.  

·         Address complex technical challenges using independent thought and knowledge of scientific principles and concepts.

·         Ensure quality control & comply with good laboratory practices, GMPs, and GDPs.

·         Maintain clean workspaces in the laboratory, including washing glassware and properly disposing of hazardous waste.

 

What we need from you:

·         Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related discipline with 0-1 years of laboratory experience, preferably in food, dietary supplements, or natural products.

·         HPLC experience strongly preferred

·         Working knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment such as balances, pH meters, volumetric glassware, pipettors, etc.

·         Solid software knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).

·         A deep scientific curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a great attitude.

 

Job Conditions:

·         Must be able to perform routine tasks repeatedly, efficiently, and accurately in a timely manner, as well as occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

·         Must be able to work in a laboratory setting for extended periods and function safely and effectively under the environmental challenges associated with handling raw materials or fine chemicals (exposure to carcinogens, corrosives, and other chemicals).

$55,000 - $65,000 a year
The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and relevant experience
