This position offers exposure to a wide variety of analytic tools and technologies as well as unique challenges in problem-solving. Be ready to leverage internal/external data sources as you monitor best-in-class model solutions.In this role, you will:• Collaborate with business partners and peers within the organization to understand the model and develop robust model monitoring solutions that ensure data quality and analytic accuracy.• Execute all aspects of analytics model monitoring including exploratory data analysis, data processing, model monitoring , model deployment and monitoring.• Ability to synthesize data, to uncover inherent trends in data, to assess impact of data on business usage, and to make recommendations for improvement.• Thoughtfully identify and construct predictive variables from both internal and external data sources.• Research, recommend, and implement statistical and other mathematical methodologies appropriate for the given business problem,• Create/Maintain excellent working relationships with business partners across the Chubb organization including Product, Actuarial, IT, and analytics peer groups,• Provide supporting documentation for the models developed including documentation of methodologies used and data issues encountered.Qualifications• Required:• Some experience utilizing both supervised and unsupervised ML algorithms.• Basic understanding of data mining, predictive modeling, and data visualization.• Programming experience in Python.• Programming experience in SQL.• Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences in written, oral and presentation formats.• The ability to multi-task, learn new things quickly, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.• Preferred:• Working knowledge/familiarity with Git version control.• Experience in architecting and consuming APIs at scale.• Nice to have:• Advanced knowledge of model tuning, evaluation, and operationalization.• Experience with Deep Learning libraries (Tensorflow / Keras, PyTorch, MXNet, etc.).• Experience with Text Analytics and Natural Language Processing.• Prior exposure to auto-ML platforms or technologies like H2O or DataRobot.• Hands-on experience with big data technologies and cloud (Databricks / Spark, Azure/AWS/GCP).• Comfortable with command line (Linux, Windows) scripting.• Experience with at least one other programming language (Python, R, Julia, Scala, Go, Java, C++).• Prior exposure to NoSQL databases.Education:• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, data science, or other quantitative discipline, an ideal candidate would have a solid understanding of advanced actuarial techniques and statistical modeling with at least 1 years of experience.• Advanced degree preferred.Location:• We are open to the following work locations for this position: (Philadelphia, PA - Jersey City, NJ - Whitehouse Station, NJ - Simsbury, CT).• Please note, there will be limited expected travel to various work locations for in person collaboration and meetings.In Jersey City, NJ the pay range for the role is $65,500 to $108,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
