Sales Manager – 'Auana – Resident Shows 

Sales, Marketing and Communications

Full-Time Position


We are looking for a Sales Manager to lead sales initiatives for our ‘Auana, our new production in Hawai’i, part of the Resident Shows Division (“RSD”) with Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group (“CDSEG”). The main objective of this role is to generate revenue by developing and executing sales initiatives for segments including In-Market, Leisure, Travel/Trade and Groups in local, domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of Hawai‘i market and direct sales experience.

 


The Sales Manager will have the opportunity to: 


·       Cultivate and grow partnerships with top volume-producing sales partners, concierge and timeshare agents, locally and internationally.  

·       Identify new business and promotional opportunities by consistently researching and exploring new prospects. 

·       Work in collaboration with the Las Vegas based RSD sales team on partner contracts that are in place across multiple shows, existing group leads contacts or best practices, tradeshow participation and any additional opportunities for cross promotion of the Cirque du Soleil portfolio.  

·       Implement pricing strategies, commissions, and promotional offers for Concierge program. 

·       Negotiate and execute new sales partner contracts, as well as setting up accounts in Outbox. 

·       Run commission reports and coordinate with the finance team to pay out sales partners monthly. 

·       Identify and maximize marketing opportunities with partners; audit broker and partner websites from a marketing and sales perspective. 

·       Develop and execute concierge, timeshare agent and partner training initiatives. 

·       Provide research for competitive analysis for concierge channels.  

·       Conduct regular sales calls and desk visits to in-market concierge and partners, keeping ‘Auana top of mind. 

·       Consolidate and optimize sales operations including lead generation & trafficking, contract review, customer relations management (CRM), and order processing. 

·       Participate in the development of all sales and promotional tools needed for all partners (i.e. collateral, presentations, promotional items, packages, etc.)

·       Actively update Salesforce to ensure up to date partner information is always available and current for historical and ongoing reporting and marketing. 

·       Provide leadership to box office team; oversee reporting, ticketing operations and inventory management. 

·       Proactively work with teams on the coordination of price types/ticketing needs. 

·       Work with the marketing manager and PR teams to oversee the distribution of dress rehearsal and opening night (premiere) complimentary tickets; handle all comp ticket requests from sales partners, including familiarization tours.  

·       Be the on-site contact for any last-minute comp requests from leadership, partners and the local PR and marketing firms. 

·       Involved in partner, ticketing and customer service practices, including operational systems, inventory management, promotional programming and reporting in effort to identify shortcomings and recommend solutions to maximize efficiencies. 

·       Assist with budgets, market and demographic research and reporting. 

·       Consistently meet and/or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue goals. 

·       Participate in industry events and appearances as necessary. 

·       Assist with community outreach programs as necessary. 

·       Complete all other job-related duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of Show Operations & Revenue, Resident Shows Division 

 


What does it take for this role? The following hard skills are the basics of what’s needed to be successful in this position: 


·       A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, marketing/sales, business or communications. 

·       Minimum two years’ experience in sales/marketing within the hospitality industry inclusive of entertainment and attractions, meetings & events, destination management, hotels, etc. or three years’ administrative support experience. 

·       Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

·       Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), Archtics & Outbox ticketing software, NLIVEN and SalesForce CRM. 

·       Excellent written and oral communication.  

·       Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to multi-task. 

·       The drive to create and maintain strong professional relationships internally and externally. 

·       The availability to flex hours for the occasional evening or weekend event. 

·       The flexibility for light travel. 

·       Verification of the right to work in the United States for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one’s identity and work authorization. 



Compensation: 


The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $85,000 USD/year.  

This range is location-specific and compensation in other geographies may vary. Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided upon elements related, but not limited to: skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
