POSITION PURPOSE
The Financial Planning Analyst will play a key role in providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, forecasting future financial performance, and preparing budgets and financial pro forma. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Development and preparation of pro forma reports for Office Based Labs (OBL) and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC).· Utilization of Benchmarking data while preparing new client pro forma reports.· Analyze patient-level cost/revenue data for use in pro forma reports.· Development of the annual budget and forecasts both internally and for external clients.· Examines historical and projected financial data to provide management and clients with valuable data upon which to make relevant financial decisions.· Analyze profitability by clinical product type, identify trends and present findings to senior management.ADDITIONAL DUTIESThis position description is not designed to cover every type of activity or work that may be required in this position. Duties and responsibilities may change, or new ones may be assigned to the employee at any time based on the needs of the company.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSPersonal Attributes:· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders as well as appear professional on camera.· Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.• Accountable to meet deadlinesEducation, Training, Certification and Experience:· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CHFP, CMA) is a plus.· Proven experience (5+ years) as a Financial Planning Analyst or similar role in a healthcare environment.· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights.· Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.· Advanced knowledge of financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, EMR systems).· Experience in a consultive capacity preferred, either for external clients or internal departments or service lines.· Healthcare experience required, preferably in OBL and/or ASC environment.
