The Financial Threats Innovation Strategy & Analytics TeamThis position will be a part of Strategy & Analytics vertical within Innovation & Solutions team which creates exciting new data intelligence capabilities to promote efficiency & effectiveness within the organization specific to managing financial threat risk across Citi’s consumer credit cards and retail banking products. The Strategy & Analytics team is responsible for driving meaningful and actionable data insights from the selection of new capabilities developed by the team. This team will also support different business partners and operate within their specific fields of analytical interest in order to ensure highly engaged adoption of the capabilities. In addition, this vertical will collaborate with design & development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product road map items.Role: Financial Threats Innovation Strategy & Analytics Analyst (C13)The Innovation Strategy Analyst position will lead analysis efforts to identify financial threat prevention and detection opportunities as well as assisting in the design and implementation of custom solutions. In addition, the analyst will collaborate with risk teams to advise on effectively leveraging intelligence from our in-house data capabilities. This position will require a strong analytical orientation and an understanding of fraud and credit risk with some familiarity with operational processes, which will be critical to success.Responsibilities:• Developing analytical solutions to prevent and detect both current and future financial threat activity including, but not limited to First Party Fraud, Identity Theft (Fraud Application, Account Takeover), Synthetic ID Fraud and Third Party Fraud while balancing customer experience and expense• Provides actionable, data driven insights that provide visibility into financial threat activities, trends, patterns and root causes• Introduce and enable efficiencies within existing processes and fraud prevention strategies.• Using analytical data to create a story-board that Senior Management will use to approve new strategies, process changes or vendor solutions to minimize Fraud exposure.• Track and report emerging trends and opportunities to Senior Management.• Support ad-hoc risk policy analysis and projects as required.• Apply subject matter expertise to the prioritization and planning of projects in conjunction with fraud management policies and strategies.• The position requires substantial interaction with Policy, Operations, and other functional business partners to optimize business strategies.Qualifications:• 5+ years experience in analytics and modeling or relevant area• Experience developing real time and/or offline risk strategies at the acquisition and/or transaction stage• Extensive experience in SAS/SQL/Python required and familiarity with big data preferred.• Strong Business and Data analytical skills with proven track record of complex processes and data analysis/deliverables• Ability to understand story behind data and summarize results adjusted to audience• Ability to independently challenge status-quo, identify opportunities, investigate issues and propose recommendations• Ability to work under tight deadlines• Excellent communication skills required for successful collaborations across different verticals• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional organization• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) knowledge requiredEducation:• Bachelor’s Degree required in statistics, mathematics, physics, economics, or other analytical or quantitative discipline.------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group:Decision Management------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Business Analysis------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:Jacksonville Florida United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$113,840.00 - $170,760.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
