Instant Payments Product Manager, SVP

The Global Domestic Payments team is leading the transformation to create global solutions and standardize the approach to managing our network, which extends across 90+ markets, aligning it to our client's business models which are increasingly regional and/or global. The alignment involves fundamental change across all network management disciplines to consistently and efficiently deliver our domestic network capabilities and solutions and create best in class client experience. In addition, the Domestic Payments team must ensure that our solutions remain competitive in the mid and long term. As part of our strategy of being the network of networks, we are making significant investments in enhancing our Domestic Payments offering, building a global Instant Payments/Real Time Payment solution with value-add features, that complements our payment products and enables clients to grow and reinvent their business models.This role will focus on the development and managing of our Instant Payments product commercialization strategy. Citi’s Instant Payments are already live in 37 markets globally, reaching over 65 countries. As a Global Instant Payments Product Manager, you will be part of the payments product team that leads the strategy and execution of Instant Payments roadmap, is responsible for the oversight, development and commercial launch of new markets and capabilities. In this role, you will contribute to driving strategic initiatives, identifying value-creation opportunities and solutions that drive adoption of Instant Payments across the globe. You will be an instrumental part of the go-to-market strategy by bringing best in class solutions to life.Key Responsibilities:The core objective of this role is to support the strategy for Instant Payments globally and the execution of the same. This will involve development, rollout and commercialization of robust and innovative instant payments capabilities, align product capabilities across regions, to enable our clients make & receive payments in a consistent, instant and simple manner for their treasury and commerce needs.The candidate is expected to bring payments and commercialization expertise as well as exceptional execution discipline to drive competitive differentiation in the instant payments space, through the ability to:• Develop a growth and commercialization plan, in line with agreed revenue and business driver targets• Conduct market research to identify client needs, market trends and competitive landscape to support product strategy globally• Define and monitor KPIs and product scorecards of Citi’s Global Instant Payment offering• Understand and anticipate evolving client needs, ensuring our product capabilities and roadmap deliver continuous and commercially relevant innovation• Close collaboration with sales, commercialization and marketing teams to create and implement effective product launch plans as well as support client discussions on Instant Payments• Continuously optimize product offering and commercialization strategies based on performance data and market feedback• Work hand in hand with our product development teams, to ensure that products are created to meet client needs and are ready to commercialize upon launch• Work seamlessly with our stakeholders to ensure our payment capabilities are rolled out and commercialized with excellence• Support the implementation of best in class product governance models. Lead training sessions and internal communications for new product releases, product capabilities in scope, roadmaps, schedule and awareness• Work in close co-ordination with Technology, Operations, Service, Compliance, Business Managers, and other stakeholders to fulfill the delivery of objectivesRole QualificationsKnowledge, Experience and Skills• In depth knowledge of the payments ecosystem (Real Time Payments/Instant Payments preferable) including product management and commercialization• Experience in developing commercialization and go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, pricing models and sales enablement• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and market trends to inform decisions and strategy• Strong communication and presentation skills• Ability to operate in a complex multi-country environment• Ability to proactively seek and develops new opportunities• Intellectual curiosity, analytical and conceptual thinker• Ability and experience in building larger networks and relationships internally and externally to influence and coordinate multiple stakeholders around a common goal and strategy• Ability to structure and break down problems, develop solutions, and to drive to resultsCompetencies:• Client-centric mindset• Excellent, confident communication skills, both written and verbal• Attention to detail, analytical mindset and result oriented• Experienced presenter with a creative approach and able to synthesize• High energy, passionate and dynamic self-starter• Strong inter-personal skills, able to advocate a position and win people and teams overQualifications:• Relevant Bachelor’s degree• Post graduate qualification (valued, but not essential)Development Value:In this role, you’ll be front and center to developing a world class business, comprised of Citi’s existing client relationships, prospective client base, extensive global network, and new-age domestic Instant Payments proposition.
