Please review the following job description:

Resolves highly complex technical issues for Truist's Network applications.

This position will manage our current Citrix environment and ultimately oversee the implementation and subsequent migration to and management of Azure Virtual Desktop.

The ability to design and implement complex Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops implementations.
Identify and correct inefficiencies and implement optimizations to improve existing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop performance.
Provide high-class troubleshooting and solutions to problems relating to the various Citrix platforms.
Implement, administrate and support the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop infrastructure environment with strong knowledge of how to create and manage published applications.
Monitor Citrix server farm health and keep the farm up-to-date by performing necessary updates and upgrades.
Install, update and support business applications in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and provide advanced end user support.
Knowledge administrating Azure Virtual Desktop
**Ability to administer Netscaler, Netscaler gateway and SF load balancing
**Knowledge of ICA and RDP for use as a brokering protocol
***Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and identify issues with remote connection. Latency, packet loss, etc…

***This position is able to telecommute from any location within the U.S.***

1. Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for highly complex issues.
2. In this capacity, oversees others who perform programming and debugging activities.
3. Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating incidents or service tickets.
4. Provides technical consultation on extremely challenging or unusual situations.
5. May lead large, complex projects related to improving processes or support capabilities.
6. May engage and mange external vendors.
7. Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices.
8. Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
9. Mentors less experienced teammates to build technical expertise.
10. May have people management responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and eight years of experience in development or production support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge.
3. Sound understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.
4. Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices.
5. Ability to lead complex projects.
6. Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems.
7. Ability to influence others at senior levels to adopt a new perspective.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Citrix technologies - architecting, designing, implementing and supporting enterprise systems - to include: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7.x components; Citrix PVS 7.x architecture; Citrix Profile Manager; Receiver/Workspace App; Citrix NetScaler
  • Experience with VMware
  • Ability to self-manage and take initiative
  • Extensive and proven knowledge of Microsoft Technologies: Server 2016; 2019; 2022; Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Active Directory and Group Policy Object Administration along with PowerShell Scripting Knowledge
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Proficiency with various monitoring solutions such as Microsoft SCOM
  • Azure Administration and Azure Virtual Desktop experience STRONGLY desired
