Civil/Site Engineering Intern - job 1 of 3

• Read and review project drawings and plans
• Confer with engineers about preparing plans.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D software under the charge of Engineers.
• Evaluate pre-construction field conditions.
• Observe project sites and evaluate contractors’ work to detect problems with a design.
• Prepare reports and document project activities and data.
• Prepare analyses from collected data.
• Set up and help maintain project files and records.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Strong computer literacy, to include MS Office.
• Other duties as assigned

• Seeking a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college is required
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus.
• If operating a motor vehicle for the purpose of completing job duties, must possess a valid Texas Motor Vehicle Operator’s License

Interns also complete a series of reflections, problem solving activities, contests, drawings, and create end of summer presentations which help showcase their learning and experiences. Additional networking and trainings specific to the students' areas of study are also made available to students throughout the Summer Internship program.
