Claim Reporting and Data Analyst
The Claim Reporting and Process Specialist will be responsible for developing, and running scheduled monthly, and quarterly reports, and Ad Hoc Claims reports for Financial Reporting, State Compliance Reporting and Claims Data Calls related to CAT events. The CRPS will be involved with audit preparation tasks including developing and preparing annual audit Universe as well as creation and maintenance of related SharePoint sites. Performs a wide variety of other metric collection and data analysis activities.
What will you do in this role?
  • Develops and maintains updated reporting requirements as determined by AXIS area/departments including Legal, Compliance, various State Offices of Insurance, as well as Claims in general.
  • Coordinates with other staff members to ensure all reports are submitted as per requirements.
  • Creates and maintains internal training materials/SOPs for Data Calls and other ad hoc reports.
  • set ups, training on systems, and creating PowerPoint presentations for the Claim team.
  • Handles ad-hoc requests from other departments in a professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinates scheduled reports in a timely manner and maintains calendar of repeating reports.
  • Perform QA on outgoing reports to ensure the data reported is accurate and meet the business needs.
  • Audit report specifications monthly and quarterly to ensure all reports are current.
  • Acts as Liaison with the actuarial data team on capturing and analyzing claim data.
  • Participates in global metric meetings and works to streamline and drive consistency in data and metrics as part of global data strategy.
  • Provides direction, technical advice and/or training to claim team members on metric data and reporting as needed.
  • Provides analysis of metric reports to leadership and managers as needed.
  • Maintains and develops relationships with internal claim team members, as well as other AXIS teams.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with other members of the claim team, other internal business partners and the actuarial data team to ensure efficiency and consistency in data reporting processes.
You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.
About You:

What you need to have:
  • Five or more years of experience in analytics and systems development, and High proficiency with SQL and database management
  • Proven analytical abilities
  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, problem solving, analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to analyse and interpret data and metric reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with various lines of business.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • A high degree of initiative, maturity, good judgment, and discretion.
  • Effective organization, time management and customer service skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word). Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics, or equivalent experience.
What we prefer you to have:
  • Proficiency with SharePoint.
  • Prior commercial insurance experience.
  • Experience working with Duck Creek Technologies systems
  • Proven ability to manage projects and user testing
  • Extensive experience with data visualization
  • High proficiency in technical writing
  • General office experience preferred.
Role Factors:
Be in the office 3 days per week
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $80,000-95,000 (GA) $85,000-$100,000 (NY and NJ). The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including the experience of the successful candidate and their work location. In addition, all employees are eligible for competitive incentive targets, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
