We're a team of founders who've built and sold companies together, alums from Atlassian, Microsoft, Amplitude, Branch, mParticle, and Ramp, among others. We're building a generational company and just getting started. Join our mission to revolutionize the world's largest software category.

Clarify is a remote-first company with 6 hours of overlap on PST. We spend one week a quarter together in person as a team.

About the role

We are hiring our first marketer to create demand and drive incremental growth of signups and demos through a mix of organic and paid channels. This role will collaborate extremely closely with our growth engineering, product, design team and founders to create and execute impactful marketing plays that will drive our ability to earn new business. In any given day you’ll bounce between content, field marketing, performance ads, and other channels in an effort to design a winning go to market machine.

Unlike traditional marketing teams, at Clarify we also believe in the principle of applied engineering: you will work closely with engineers to help take the magic that we create on marketing and make it easier, more repeatable and higher quality through the use of tools, technology and AI.

We are biased but this will be a fun and compelling role where you’ll work closely with our Co-CEOs and have full freedom to shape and execute our marketing strategy.

Your background

  • 2-6 years of marketing experience.

  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in learning how to build a high scale company.

  • A basic understanding of how a company operates and desire to learn how top of funnel business metrics drive company outcomes.

  • Proven examples building with AI in an assistive nature.

  • Passion for working with engineering to in an effort to scale marketing plays.

  • Proficient with our marketing stack: Assembly, ByWord, Sanity, Luma, Customer.io, Posthog, Google Analytics, Google Tag manager, Lemlist, Zapier among others.

  • Pragmatic problem solver with a focus on delivering impact.

  • Demonstrated personal and professional maturity.

  • Experience taking marketing campaigns from ideation to production.

  • Skill in identifying and addressing marketing challenges creatively and effectively. Ability to think strategically and adapt to changing market conditions.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Startup experience or a desire to build your own company one day.

  • Experience managing > $1M in marketing budget.

  • Balanced approach to marketing creation - taking creative risks while still using data to measure and moderate those choices.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, tools, and best practices.

Nice to Haves

  • B2B Marketer by background and experience.

  • Workable knowledge of the CRM and CDP spaces and more broadly the GTM tooling category.

  • Workable understanding of CMS technologies as well as programmatic marketing and practices including SEO, SEM, paid advertising etc

  • Understanding or interest in learning marketing and revenue technology.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment where urgency to serve our customers is second-nature.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with our founding team to create, refine, align and implement our marketing strategy and tactics that will drive incremental signsup and demos. Leverage data to set goals, optimize campaigns, and accurately meet forecasts.

  • Collaborate with contractors, agencies, and subject matter experts including our founders to brainstorm, create, and publish high-quality content across paid, owned, and earned channels. This includes blog, video, email, podcast, website and more.

  • Design, execute, and manage marketing campaigns across multiple channels, but especially LinkedIn, Google Ads, and Email to start. Consistently uplevel and improve campaigns by measuring and reporting performance metrics.

  • Engage deeply with our customers to better understand their needs and therein build better marketing language and optimize campaigns that will drive higher engagement and conversion.

  • Work across engineering, design, product, success and the rest of the company to align and project manage cross functional work streams that have high visibility and impact to the company’s success such as fundraisers, product launches and other announcements.

A Typical Week

  • Writing and managing content that we produce internally and with the help of an outside agency.

  • Ensuring product updates are crafted and updated to LinkedIn.

  • Aligning our product messages to LinkedIn campaigns and creating a cohesive experience.

  • Planning monthly customer dinners and building out strategic invitee lists.

  • Mapping out our conference schedule and securing high quality partnerships.

  • Exploring PR and other agency contacts for podcasting and other mediums that bring visibility to the business.

  • Scaling our SEO efforts through the use of tools like ahrefs and our own internal engineering resources.
