Classroom Assistant/Grader

Kumon of Houston - Champions Point is currently looking to hire a classroom assistant to assist the Kumon instructor in managing the day-to-day center classroom operations. Please apply only if you are looking for a long-term position that will last at least for 1 year.

Kumon is the world's largest after school math and reading enrichment program, and we're looking for dependable, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with children!

This is a part-time position that is offered year round. We are currently hiring for instructor assistants for early learners (Kinder and below), and primary instruction (students that need help with basic math and reading)

Tentative Hours:

• Weekday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Responsibilities: * Instruct students in an individual setting while motivating them towards higher learning

• Equip students with skills and strategies to achieve success based on provided lesson plans and instruction from the Center Instructor
• Facilitate parent questions and communication
• Sell the Kumon program to potential new customers
• Maintain a positive attitude about learning
• Assist in grading of worksheets
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area and the center

Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required

• Experience with children preferred, but not required
• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Must hold a basic understanding of math and reading concepts
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
