Cleric is an AI-powered agent designed to manage and resolve issues in production environments autonomously. It uses an LLM-based reasoning engine to react to, interpret, and implement solutions to production issues, even those it's encountering for the first time.
Technology companies are grappling with the complexity of production environments, distracting engineers from their core task of software development. Engineers are drowning in a sea of observability data, but still require manual intervention to solve problems.
We envision a future where engineers can concentrate on software development while Cleric takes care of the production environment. Our mission is to develop autonomous software that can manage, repair, and optimize itself—the holy grail.
Now is a magical time to join. We're a small group of veterans in AI, software, and infrastructure, backed by a leading AI venture capital firm and Silicon Valley angels.
We’re hiring a Staff Full Stack Engineer. You will own the user facing product, the way our AI agent manifests to end users. You will craft not just beautiful and usable user interfaces, but you will ship a lean, scalable, and fault tolerant product core. You will have direct influence in the direction of the company.
You're a TypeScript, NodeJS, React and Python god. You can ship a prototype quickly. You can battle harden it just as fast.
You're familiar with visualization frameworks like D3.js. You've used it to build interactive product experiences.
6+ years of software engineering experience.
You're proud of your work. You have a keen intuition for well designed software and beautiful, usable interfaces.
You have a love for building, especially novel product experiences.
You have experience on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
You love building with generative AI and have a track record of shipping projects. You may have a background in ML, or maybe you’re self taught.
You're an excellent communicator, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
You will own the development of all user facing aspects of our product, Cleric. Namely the user experience and user interfaces of our product. You will also work with backend teams in integrating the product with the agent runtime.
You will collaborate with the design, ML, and backend engineers, specifically on architectural and design decisions.
You will build rich (and data oriented) user experiences that break the mold on traditional SaaS dashboards. We want to tell stories, not overwhelm users with information.
You will sweat the details on how users interact with this new AI entity.
You will help us iterate towards product-market fit in an early-stage, open-ended environment.
Embody and work closely with our end users (engineers with operational responsibilities), immersing yourself in their needs, pains, and aspirations.
Less is more: Small teams deliver impactful outcomes. Our focus is on meaningful work rather than long hours.
Culture is critical: We value excitement and chemistry. We only bring in the right people who align with our vision.
Transparent compensation: $100k-$180k base, and 0.5-1% equity. 401k matching. Great healthcare.
We’re in-person: We're early, so we have to work closely. We're based out of San Francisco.
An AI-first approach: We don't simply build AI products; we augment ourselves with it.
The whole process takes less than one day
Screen: A quick call with one of the founders.
Product assessment: We'll deep dive into some of the product, UX, and go-to-market challenges that we're faced with.
Technical assessment: We will work through a system design problem with you. This will be related to the work you do daily.
Culture fit: We’ll talk through your background, and what drives you, and share a bit more about our team and culture.
Food: Grab lunch or dinner with us!
