The Client Delivery team at FINBOURNE works directly with our pre and post sales clients (who range from small start-up hedge funds to multi-national financial service providers) to understand their business problems and use cases. They then combine this with a detailed understanding of our products to help clients make best use of the opportunities offered by LUSID and Luminesce. Client Delivery are also involved in build-outs of client-specific capability and integrations, working directly with client stakeholders.

We are looking to hire an Implementation Consultant to join the team; someone who is adept at explaining product features to clients, helping these clients with their implementations, together with building clients-specific implementations. In this role you will have the opportunity to make kay contributions to the future of the product and shape how our clients interact with LUSID.

Key responsibilities:

As part of the Client Delivery team at FINBOURNE, you will be working alongside our Sales and Engineering teams to help prospective and existing clients make the best use of our LUSID and Luminesce products. This will involve explaining the product to prospective clients, crafting solutions using LUSID, delivering technical content and training as well as taking ownership of the full software development lifecycle (gathering requirements, designing, planning and implementing the features) to solve client-specific use cases and integrations.

As part of the Client Delivery team, you will play a key role in building a community of LUSID users, provide excellent product support to our clients, and be an active participant in our open-source communities.

Required skills:

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to be able to clearly define and articulate solutions with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Client facing experience in a software company focused on Financial Services.
• Experience with workflows across any of the following: Portfolio Management Systems (PMS), Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS), Trade Operations, Risk, Portfolio Compliance.
• Familiarity with data feeds across multiple asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, ETDs, OTCs, Alternatives etc.)
• Exposure to industry standard messaging formats such as FIX, SWIFT, FpML etc.
• Excellent SQL and database querying skills (our Luminesce product is powered by an SQLite-like query language).
• Exposure to at least one programming language (C#, Python, Java). As part of this role, you will be writing notebooks and code samples, and presenting results back to clients.

Desired skills:

• Experience working with or implementing IBOR/ABOR solutions.
• Knowledge of basic accounting concepts including cost basis, P&L, LIFO/FIFO, tax lots, etc.
• Experience with fixed income and derivative valuation/pricing methodologies.
• Experience with instrument lifecycle events (i.e. bond maturity, option expiration, corporate actions, margin calls, etc.).
• Knowledge of BI tools such as PowerBI and Streamlit.
• Exposure to REST APIs.
