Our Newest Opportunity:
The Client Portfolio Manager is responsible for helping retirement advisors with Defined Benefit (DB) plan clients. The responsibility includes helping with asset allocation, selection of prefabricated models, creating custom investment program, as necessary, based on investment policy statements of the DB plans, and help with trading workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and build relationships with advisors and Defined Benefit (DB) plan clients

Review Investment Policy Statements (IPS) of DB plans, and develop a long-term strategic asset allocation plan working with the investment team that has the highest probability of meeting the plans goals at an acceptable level of risk

Review the long-term Capital Market Assumptions (CMA) produced by OneDigital and review current economic and market environments to decide whether a short-term tactical policy is appropriate for DB plans that’s more responsive to changes in financial markets

Help advisors select prefabricated investment models that are in alignment with the IPS of the plans

Create custom investment program, as necessary and select equity investments from the “BUY” list based on the risk score

Select the appropriate mix of fixed income from the managed sleeves for custom investment programs

Help advisors with trading workflow, and place trade orders, if necessary, working with the trading and investment operations team

Track performance of prefabricated investment models with respect to the DB plans’ investment objectives. Recommend changes and prepare reports

Monitor performance of the custom investment programs with respect to the DB plans’ investment objectives. Recommend changes and prepare reports

Help advisors prepare client presentations and review current economic environment, portfolio allocation and performance in client meetings, as necessary

Review Asset-Liability Management (ALM) of DB plans and seek SME opinions wherever necessary
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

The candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Retirement Asset Allocation, DB plan investment management

Investment and markets background
-
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
-
Strong attention to details and analytically oriented

MBA, and a CFA designation highly desirable

Strong understanding of multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, real estate and alternative investments

Experience working with retirement advisors
