Coordinate client engagement activities in the western region of the state for the Kentucky Manufacturing Extension Partnership (KMEP). Responsible for direct sales in the region including interacting with prospects and clients, developing and managing client relationship, and growing the client base in the Western Kentucky region.
Identify manufacturers in the Western region and recruit to participate in KMEP programming.
Liaise with the Director of the School of Engineering and the Director of Client Services of the KMEP to align sales efforts with KMEP’s strategies and initiatives.
Grow KMEP engagements and client base in the region.
Initiate, develop and grow client relationships.
Support the National Institute of Standards and Technology MEP, Murray State University, the University of Louisville, and area partner initiatives as they relate to KMEP operations.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. Related experience may be exchanged for the bachelor’s degree requirement.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements
Three years’ experience in outreach or sales is required.
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
This position will have extensive in-state travel required, including overnight stays.
