The Role

The Client Services Specialist is accountable for facilitating positive interaction with American Century’s internal and external clients by providing transactional and service excellence. This individual interprets and completes a variety of complex client requests, including account establishment for multiple registration types and financial and non-financial transactions.

Major Responsibilities

• Interpret and complete complex transactions for multiple account types in an accurate and timely manner using a variety of resources.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to perform in-depth research and make good business decisions.
• Provide support to other workgroups.
• Communicate with clients directly or through American Century Service teams to resolve issues and provide service excellence.
• Remain current on all policies, procedures, and system enhancements by attending on-going training and team/department meetings, and by appropriately utilizing available resources.
• Work cohesively and proactively as a member of a Client Services team while providing support to business partners and internal clients.
• Represent the team/department on special projects and focus groups. May assist in the training of staff.

Requirements for the Role

• Associates degree or some college preferred (or any equivalent combination of education and work experience).
• Crucial communication and task organization skills
• Sophisticated skill in computer usage and the ability to type 30 WPM minimum
• Ability to practice resiliency, flexibility, and relationship management

Work Conditions

• Full-time, non-exempt
• Hybrid work schedule, following initial on-site training period.
• Shifts: Monday – Friday (7:30 am – 4 pm or 8:30 am – 5 pm CT)
• Overtime – Required during peak seasons and on a periodic basis as volumes dictate
