Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with special procedures, such as airway management and gastric lavage
- Provide support and care for patients with special needs, including behavioral health patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems like eClinicalWorks and Cerner
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Assist with the maintenance and sterilization of medical equipment in the sterile processing department
- Provide assistance with durable medical equipment (DME) setup and maintenance
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a nursing assistant training program
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
