Provides technical support for databases in development and production environments. Works on a day-to-day basis with developers and system administrators to design, configure, construct, deploy and support database and data integration processing for CoBank and Farm Credit Leasing.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Performs logical data modeling.• Conducts database configuration.• Analyzes and modifies query languages and scripts.• Writes PL/SQL and Transact-SQL procedures.• Performs DTS programming.• Converts data access specifications in to design.• Supports creation of physical database structures and provide ongoing support.• Performs quality assurance on all database deliverables with the guidance of a senior database administrator.• Supports back-up/recovery procedures.• Prepares database sizing and performance modifications.• Participates in performance tuning and supports implementation of upgrades/migration• Provides direction on database access.• Ensures adherence to CoBank security standards.Basic Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or relevant discipline.• 4+ years database programming using Oracle or SQL server database management systems; or appropriate combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications• Experience in banking or financial services industry and Oracle experience preferred.• Knowledge of UNIX (Solaris and AIX) and Windows.• Advanced understanding of the system development lifecycle and associated database administration responsibilities.• Proficient in writing / diagnosing SQL.• Excellent problem solving, oral and written communication skills• Availability for off-hours support.• Occasional travel required.Compensation Information• Estimated Base Salary Range: $77,000-$95,000• Target short-term incentive opportunity: 13%About CoBank:CoBank stands strong as a $135 billion enterprise dedicated to the financial needs of rural America.
