About the Role

The Sales Enablement Performance and Adoption Team is dedicated to driving the adoption and effective use of sales processes and methodology initiatives within the organization. This team ensures that sales representatives are equipped with the best practices, resources, and support needed to maximize their productivity and success. The ultimate goal is to enhance the overall sales process, from prospecting to closing deals, and to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in sales execution. To support these efforts, we are looking for a Senior Sales Performance Manager to join the team. While this is a remote role, you must be based in the US. 

You Will

  • Improve Adoption and Develop Usage Tracking:
    • Drive the adoption of sales tools and initiatives across the sales team.
    • Track usage and engagement, providing regular reports to management.
    • Identify and address barriers to adoption.
  • Provide Coaching and Establish Best Practices:
    • Provide coaching and support to underperforming sales representatives.
    • Identify and document best practices from top-performing sales representatives.
    • Share best practices and success stories with the broader sales team.
  • Improve Collaboration and Reporting:
    • Collaborate with sales managers, marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
    • Report on the effectiveness of sales initiatives and tools, providing insights and recommendations.
    • Support the development of marketing events and other activities to enhance sales efforts.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in sales enablement.
    • Seek opportunities to improve sales processes and tools.
    • Participate in the development and rollout of new sales initiatives and tools.

The Expectations

In your first 30 days, you will complete our general and sales onboarding programs, learn about our message and product, and connect with revenue leadership team. We believe that it's essential for you to take this first month to become familiar with our technology and our company.

In your first 60 days, you will begin to develop a sales performance and strategic account planning program, in partnership with the greater Sales Enablement Performance and Adoption Team.

After 3 months, you'll be fully integrated into the team. You will execute on the plans you have developed and build curriculum in partnership with internal Subject Matter Experts.

You Have

  • 4-6+ years of of sales enablement experience with 8-10+ years of total experience.
  • Experience in a quota carrying sales role. Database market specific experience is a plus.
  • Proven results from all stages of the sales process, with particular emphasis on:
    • Prospecting prowess 
    • Preparation / Action / Follow Up
    • Leading customers to the next steps that results in sales
    • Collaboration with cross functional teams to drive initiatives and motions that results in revenue
    • Effective negotiations with customer, partner and internal teams to close business 
    • Proven track record of co-selling motions with Cloud Service Providers
  • Proof of effective collaboration with other business units and departments to improve effectiveness in their sales role
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.

The annual anticipated base salary range for U.S. candidates for this role is USD $120,000 to $182,000 plus commission if a sales role. We set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location.  Actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, and competencies. In addition, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. Salary is one component of the Cockroach Labs’ total rewards package, which includes stock options, health insurance, life and disability insurance, funds towards professional development resources, flexible PTO, paid holidays, and parental leave, to name a few! Salaries for candidates outside the U.S. will vary based on local compensation structures.
