Senior Java Full Stack EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Full Stack Engineer with 6 to 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS SQL Spring Boot Angular JS Java JavaScript and MySQL. This role involves designing developing and maintaining high-performance applications that drive our business forward. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs.Cognizant Digital Practice helps clients reinvent products, experiences, and business models to build new value, differentiation, and drive revenue in the digital economy. We take an Experience centered approach which uses human insights to take ideas from vision to outcome and building end to end experience led solutions that enables brands to transform their customer and employee experiences using design, marketing, and commerce capabilities.Responsibilities• Design and develop high-performance applications using Java Spring Boot and Angular JS.• Implement and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS to ensure scalability and reliability.• Write efficient SQL queries and manage MySQL databases to support application functionality.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster a collaborative team environment.• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maintain application performance and availability.• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end and back-end integration.• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.• Optimize application performance through profiling and tuning techniques.• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our tech stack.• Document technical designs processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.Qualifications• Possess a strong understanding of Java Spring Boot and Angular JS with proven experience in developing scalable applications.• Demonstrate expertise in AWS cloud services including EC2 S3 and Lambda to build and deploy cloud-native applications.• Exhibit proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and managing MySQL databases to support application requirements.• Show experience in JavaScript and front-end development to create interactive and responsive user interfaces.• Have a solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation to facilitate seamless integration between systems.Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in US without requiring employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureApplications will be accepted until 8/26/2023The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 – $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.Benefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:• Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance• Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off• 401(k) plan and contributions• Long-term/Short-term Disability• Paid Parental Leave• Employee Stock Purchase PlanDisclaimer: The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
