Medical Policy Writer

Cohere Health is seeking a Medical Policy Writer to draft, refine, and maintain medical policy documents based on scientific evidence and clinical best practices. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in a related field and 3-5 years of experience in medical writing or policy development.

Skills

Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with CMS policies such as NCDs and LCDs
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

Draft, refine, and finalize medical policy documents
Collaborate with scientific researchers and stakeholders to develop policies
Maintain and update medical policies reflecting current guidelines
Engage with internal stakeholders and ensure effective communication of policy changes
Conduct quality checks and implement review processes for policy validation
Provide training and support to policy writers
Manage policy documentation and maintain a repository for resources
Monitor policy development progress and performance

Education

Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field
