We are looking for a senior risk manager with extensive experience managing futures and prime brokerage risks. This person will be Chief Risk Officer of our omnibus non-clearing FCM, which provides provides retail and institutional clients direct market access to exchange-listed crypto derivatives. You will oversee market, client portfolio and other real-time risk functions (margin management, liquidation, etc.) across futures and prime brokerage products. The right candidate will enjoy operating in a dynamic digital asset market environment and managing complex client credit and market risks across a global retail and institutional client base. This role will report to the Head of Counterparty & Credit Risk, and may be based in New York or remotely in the United States. What You'll Be Doing (i.e., Job Duties) Design and implement risk frameworks for new and existing leveraged product offerings, including developing suitable margin methodologies and risk controls. Responsible for real-time oversight, analyzing intraday trading and market activity, and impact on client portfolios. Monitor for developing trends that signal a shift in risk. Use stress testing tools to identify and monitor risks difficult to capture in the margin model (illiquidity, concentrations, dislocation, etc.). Deep-dive on complex client scenarios and model worst case scenarios. Responsible for overseeing and delivering quarterly and interim Risk Exposure Reports (RERs) and other requisite reporting obligations. Responsible for the management and execution of the FCM's Risk Management Program (RMP). Recommend and implement policies and processes, as appropriate for emerging businesses and risks. Collaborate with business partners (product, operations, legal, etc.) to resolve complex client and product challenges. What We Look For In You (ie. Job Requirements) 10
years of extensive risk management experience within a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM). Deep understanding of futures and prime brokerage margin requirements, market risk exposure, and credit risk exposure. Deep understanding of risk modeling (VaR, Monte Carlo, stress testing, etc.) and nuanced risks (leverage, concentration, option greeks). Comfortable developing stress testing tools, recommending improvements and accurately interpreting results. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter with commercial business insight. Able to interact, influence and build relationships at all levels of seniority and across all functions within an organization. Able to balance strategic focus with tactical implementation and efficient execution. Enjoys analyzing, evaluating and forming independent judgments, and challenging the status quo for better outcomes. Series 3 license.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
