SEO Strategist, Simple Nursing

Position Overview:

Nursing school is difficult, stressful, and expensive. It's a very emotional & competitive environment  where the stakes are high. Unfortunately, more than 30% of students fail out of their program within  the first year. Our business, SimpleNursing.com, is an e-learning video streaming platform that provides test prep materials to help make complex medical concepts easy to  understand for nursing students, so they succeed in nursing school. We are seeking a SEO strategist to join our team and drive our digital marketing efforts through effective search engine optimization techniques. The ideal candidate will be passionate about SEO, with a deep understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors. The SEO strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing SEO strategies to increase organic traffic, improve website visibility, and enhance overall search engine performance.

• Develop and execute successful SEO strategies. 
• Conduct keyword research to guide content teams. 
• Review technical SEO issues and recommend fixes. 
• Optimize website content, landing pages and on-page copy. 
• Direct off-page optimization projects (e.g. link-building). 
• Collect data and report on traffic, rankings and other SEO aspects. 
• Work with marketing managers and paid search teams to optimize cross-functional campaigns. 
• Keep updated on SEO and integrated marketing trends.

• 4-6 years experience 
• BS/BA in Marketing, Business or related field 
• Proven experience as SEO strategist 
• Knowledge of standard and current SEO practices 
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS 
• Experience with SEO reporting 
• Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. Conductor, Ahrefs, Brightedge, Screaming Frog, MOZ) and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) 
• Excellent communication skills, especially developing and reporting via Powerpoint or Google Sheets 
• Strong organizational and leadership skills 
• Self-directed with an ability to work independently and cross-functionally
