Location:Minneapolis, MN, USJob Family: MarketingCountry/Region: United StatesThe Meetings & Events Manager serves as an integral part of the marketing team supporting the development and implementation of key marketing communications and event strategies. While partnering with the professional education and product marketing teams they will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing programs and materials, event logistics and planning as well as providing recommendations on how to help drive new business, engage current customers and expand the Coloplast brand through the events channel. In collaboration with key stakeholders including professional education, marketing, compliance, and sales they will be responsible for in person/virtual, symposiums, surgical skills workshops/labs, cadaver labs, dry labs, observation, proctoring, and webinars along with supporting the team in planning and executing a wide range of other events.Major Areas of AccountabilityWork closely with the global marketing team to develop and execute marketing and event strategies that drive revenueWork closely with the professional education team to develop, implement, and maintain education programs that provide best in class learning opportunitiesManage event expenditure tracking and reportingManage pre- and post-event logisticsCreate and maintain calendar for eventsManage the overall communication with attendees and participants, including coordinating logistics for participation in the event and management of all aspects of registration (e.g. invitations, travel, and hotel accommodations)Attend events to ensure that details associated with hands-on equipment, participants, lodging, faculty, and agendas are attended to and that problems are correctedResponsible for external partners and support teams at eventManage registration, logistics and budget and obtaining management approval, for various industry meetings and tradeshows, and other eventsComplete documentation for compliance, which may include among other things HCP invoices, HCP contract requests, HCP service requests, HCP event requests, validating HCP spend, vendor payments, and internal requirementsColoplast employees are required to conduct business to the highest ethical and professional standards; comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Advamed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, and company policies.Other duties as assignedBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience5+ years’ experience in marketing, education, events management or equivalent3+ years’ experience in the design, planning and on-site operations of large and small, national and international corporate events; proven experience researching and recommending sites; proven development and management of budgets; ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendorsRequires exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; facilitation, organizational and follow-up skills, the ability to meet deadlines, as well as the ability to resolve conflicts and drive stakeholders to consensusExceptional organizational skills; ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks to accommodate changing needs in a fast-paced environment, and solicit input from all contributors to joint projectsMaintains impeccable attention to detail and follow throughDesire to learn and expand knowledge and experience in marketing communications and event management practicesConfidence in a laboratory setting, including coordinating all pre-lab planning and logistics, onsite coordination to ensure proper execution of didactic and hands on training, and post-lab logisticsAbility to travel up to 30%, including occasional international travelPursuing an ambitious growth agenda, Coloplast develops and markets products and services that make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs.
