As Medical Director, you will lead and expand Color’s evidence-based, virtual care model, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance patient outcomes across the cancer care continuum.
This is a full-time, remote-eligible opportunity for a compassionate physician-leader committed to transforming cancer care.
How You'll Contribute:- Oversee clinical operations to ensure efficient high-quality, patient-centered care in cancer screening, risk-assessment, prevention, diagnosis, treatment support, and survivorship.
- Establish and maintain clinical standards and protocols in collaboration with Color clinical and diagnostic experts, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines.
- Manage and mentor clinical staff (physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers and others), fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Serve as an oncology expert, consulting on complex cases, resolving patient care escalations and engaging external experts as needed.
- Collaborate with leadership to design and implement virtual care programs aligned with patient needs and market trends.
- Partner with product, engineering and data teams to optimize workflows, enhance patient satisfaction, (Color and external) care-team experience and communication.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key external physicians, other clinicians and groups caring for Color patients.
- Ensure smooth communication and logistics with external clinicians, service providers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic planning for service expansion and technology adoption.
- Seek and incorporate feedback from clinicians and other stakeholders; oversee clinical contributions to cross-functional teams.
- Deliver personalized, evidence-based care via telehealth, focusing on cancer screening, risk assessment, prevention, diagnosis, treatment support, and survivorship.
- Develop tailored care plans based on the patient’s medical and family history, cancer risk factors, goals of care and established plans by the patient’s brick and mortar physicians.
- Prescribe medications, order tests, and follow up on results through HIPAA-compliant video, phone and asynchronous messaging telehealth platforms.
- Educate and empower patients in their health journeys.
- Ensure communication, follow-up and coordination with internal and external care team members through documentation and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Monitor clinical performance metrics and align them with organizational goals.
- Identify and implement improvements to care models, tools, and processes.
- Analyze patient outcomes to enhance care delivery and satisfaction.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:- Physician (MD/DO) board-certified/board-eligible in medical oncology or a related field
- At least 5 years of post-residency/fellowship independent clinical practice, preferably in cancer-related care.
- 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring clinical teams.
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Active medical license and willingness to obtain additional state licenses.
- Proficiency with telehealth tools, EHRs, and clinical automation systems.
Nice to Have:- Familiarity with virtual care models and population-scale healthcare delivery.
- Proven ability to lead quality improvement and program development initiatives.

Base Salary Range: The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: work experience, market data, skills, geographic location, and business need. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
