Annually, the MarComm team delivers 250 – 300 projects covering story-telling, events, advertising, communications, marketing materials and signature experiences, while also maintaining primary responsibility for all marketing channels (website, social media and email).Search Contact Emaildave.holmstrom@colostate.eduPosition SummaryThis role creates unified print and digital visual experiences for audiences from prospective and current students to alumni, staff and faculty. This position works within the College’s marketing and communications team to translate written or spoken ideas into designs, layouts and/or integrated user experiences. The Graphic Designer is able to effectively guide stakeholders and support staff to effective design decisions that uphold the College’s brand and effectively enable the College to compete with other business schools.This role works closely with the Sr. UI/UX Designer and the Director of Marketing and Communications to elevate brand visuals and deliver consistent and thoughtful branded materials. Materials include, but are not limited to digital and print ads, emails, flyers, presentations, and promotional items.This position qualifies for hybrid work, in line with MarComm operating hours determined by director and supervisor.The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; The College of Business will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.Position Minimum Qualifications+ Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design, web design, communication, computer science, or related field.+ Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and other Creative Suite programs along with the ability to know when it’s appropriate to use each program+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel+ Demonstrated experience and expertise in graphic design (both digital and print), which includes managing projects from start to finish (concept development, design, routing, pre-press, print coordination, delivery logistics, installation, implementation, etc.)+ Demonstrated experience working with CSU’s established and evolving brands and graphic standardsPreferred Qualifications+ Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects at one time, with attention to detail and deadlines+ Effective listening, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills+ Ability to make effective decisions about type, image, and layout to put together a cohesive and well-designed piece.+ Excellent organization skills+ Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks in response to a dynamic environment+ Great communication skills and the ability to take direction/criticism when needed and apply that to his/her design+ Strong personal qualities of enthusiasm, creativity, and collaboration based on solid judgment and an appreciation for the team environmentPosting DetailsWorking TitleGraphic DesignerPosting Number202400388TDepartmentCollege of Business (Dean's Office)Salary Range$26-$27/hourEmployee BenefitsColorado State University is not just a workplace; it’s a thriving community that’s transforming lives and improving the human condition through world-class teaching, research, and service.
