After a recent $81M funding round (Series E), our sales team is growing at InfluxData and we’re looking for a Commercial Account Executive for our EMEA region! If sales is in your blood and you have a track record of closing inbound led new business in the Mid Market / Commercial segment, read on.
You'll be responsible for closing transactions as well as generating pipeline for our business with both small and medium sized organizations across EMEA. Success for this role is defined by meeting quarterly and annual quota targets based on a typical mix of new business (80%) and existing account expansion (20%). We’re a growing team and company and with that growth there is constant movement and change, so the ability to jump in and learn quickly is key.
What you’ll be doing:
Warm prospecting into tech startups and medium-sized companies leveraging product usage signals from both our PAYG and Free cloud subscription offerings
Completing 2-4 discovery calls each day as scheduled for you by our SDR team
Developing a deep understanding of customer's business and how time-series data solutions could benefit them across IIoT, Real Time Analytics and Infrastructure Monitoring use cases
Strategically prospecting using Outreach, LinkedIn and calling into CTOs, CDOs, Engineering/Data Leaders, & technical end users in our open source install base and net new prospects
Executing a complex sales process through a mix of PAYG, Free Trials, POCs and Pilots
Ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency
What we’re looking for:
3+ Years direct sales of SaaS solutions preferably sold to a technical buyer e.g. Engineering/IT
Top 10% performer against at least a $500k+ New ARR quota
Ability to articulate the business value and ROI of complex enterprise technology
Experience working for an emerging (startup) tech company
Sold into fast growing tech startups as well as mid-sized EMEA companies (up to 500 employees)
Demonstrated ability to win new business from product-led growth go to market sales motions
Have sold new logo deal sizes at $20k+
Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)
It’s a plus if you have:
Any PLG oriented sales experience
Command of the Message experience
Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience selling open source software
Experience in database / data analytics / data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Pinot, MongoDB, CockroachDB, Starburst, Clickhouse
