About the Role
The Commercial Manager is responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies in North
America. You will focus on market opportunity identification / quantification, go-to-market planning and strategy, and ongoing business development for the portfolio of products in Nurse Readiness Solutions. The Commercial Manager leads the way in the identification and execution of attractive growth opportunities. They also ensure delivery against the financial targets via strategic analysis, business case preparation, and internal/external relationship management. This role will work in close collaboration with product marketing, product development, sales, and pricing as well as colleagues across Elsevier.
Responsibilities

Defining relevant markets for the Nurse Readiness Solutions portfolio; analyze market / customer segments to pursue, and perform market sizing

Developing customer-centric view of market needs; keep a close eye on emerging technologies and trends

Becoming a market expert with in-depth knowledge of key institutional players, market structure, and evolving market share

Analyzing alternative offerings; assess their strengths and weaknesses; develop a strategy for winning against the competition

Partnering with Product Managers to shape compelling value propositions and develop Go To Market approaches for new products

Managing internal stakeholder relationships and lead data analysis to shape future commercial models to drive revenue growth

Aiding in analyzing the data and demonstrating the value of our solutions to our partnered organizations

Addressing operational issues that limit our ability to execute commercially and supporting sellers with ROI modeling
Requirements

Have excellent analytical skills

Have collaboration and relationship building skills with ability to smartly navigate organizations

Have excellent communication skills and experience in comfortably operating and influencing at executive level

Have project and time management skills with an ability to set and maintain priorities in a multi-task environment

Have experience in a strategic or commercial role in healthcare. Proven track record in directly supporting revenue growth for a portfolio of products

Have extensive experience in designing, leading, and executing successful commercial with business development or management consulting experience

Have analytical capabilities related to market segmentation, commercial opportunity assessment, and user & analysis

Be entrepreneurial with a solution-oriented attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
