About You
The ideal Recovery Coach/Peer Support Specialist thrives in a team environment and does well working independently, while applying critical thinking and decision-making skills. You have a passion for helping others break down barriers that get in their way, are emphatic, and you don’t pass judgment. You have an innate desire to see people succeed in their life’s journey and inspire hope in the lives of those you support. You are also able to work in a multidisciplinary environment and manage evolving needs.

Day In the Life
- Contribute to a warm and welcoming atmosphere
- Communicate hope and the possibility of recovery and healing through group sessions
- Provide recovery coaching to people that result in diverting them from in-patient hospitalization
- Provide accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record
- Actively engage with your team, other departments, individuals served, everyday
What You Need to Apply
- High school diploma or GED (Common Ground may grant up to six months from date of hire to obtain)
- Certified Peer Support Specialist or Certified Peer Recovery Coach
- Valid driver's license
- 1+ year experience working with people with disabilities
