Here, you can build and automate applications that empower teams to observe and streamline their workflows and optimise the platforms used to power the Institutional Banking and Markets division. You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for designing observability to ensure our systems are simpler, faster, and more secure. Culture fit is important here, although you’ll need strong technical experience as well in: Perform complex problem resolution, root cause analysis and identification of improvement opportunities Maintain and monitor AWS Cloud infrastructure Participate in key initiatives from the Technology team to improve capability, standards, and risk profile of the platform Experience in design and build of solutions for monitoring and service assurance Extensive experience in developing public Web Applications and APIs Excellent debugging skills; able to debug complex technical issues involving multiple system components You are passionate about keeping up to date with the latest technology Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders Passion for continually improving the people and processes within your team Expert knowledge of micro services architecture and RESTful APIs Tech Skills: We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team. Experience one or more of Java, GoLang, C#, Python, , SQL, and React You are a full stack developer, technical specialist or a software engineer who enjoys the challenge and satisfaction of writing elegant and efficient code Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow Container technology, Docker and Kubernetes/EKS Source control and CI/CD tooling such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD TeamCity and Artifactory Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Graphana and Splunk Experience with modern software engineering practices such as Trunk development, Unit Testing, and Test Driven Development (TDD) Working with us: Whether you’re passionate about customer service, driven by data, or called by creativity, a career with CommBank is for you.
