Stout Island Lodge is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Operations Manager to support the daily operations of the lodge and ensure guests have an exceptional experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with overseeing the daily operations, managing staff, maintaining facilities, and providing support to ensure high-quality service for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Operational Support: Assist the Operations Manager in daily operations, including coordinating activities, ensuring the lodge facilities are properly maintained, and addressing any operational issues promptly.
Ø Team Management: Supervise and support a team of staff members, ensuring efficient and high-quality service. Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to staff.
Ø Guest Experience: Ensure that guests’ needs and requests are met in a timely and professional manner, offering assistance with reservations, amenities, and activities as needed.
Ø Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of lodge supplies, equipment, and amenities. Assist in ordering and replenishing stock as necessary.
Ø Facility Management: Work closely with maintenance staff to ensure the lodge facilities are well-maintained and operational, coordinating repairs and improvements when needed.
Ø Budgeting and Financial Management: Assist with budget tracking, cost control, and financial reporting to ensure efficient resource allocation and adherence to financial guidelines.
Ø Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of events at the lodge, including special events, group bookings, and seasonal activities.
Ø Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations, maintain cleanliness standards, and ensure staff follow operational protocols.
Qualifications:
Ø Previous experience in hospitality or resort management, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
Ø Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with staff, guests, and vendors professionally.
Ø Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ø Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ø Problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset.
Ø Proficiency with office software and basic financial management tools.
Ø Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ø Previous experience in a resort, lodge, or hospitality management setting.
Ø Knowledge of local tourism and outdoor activities in the Stout Island Lodge area.
Ø Ability to handle guest concerns and resolve issues in a positive and efficient manner.
