JOB DETAILS:


Position Summary


This position will assist with the daily operations of Athletic Communications department. This includes game management, statistics, writing game summaries, biographies, live in game stats, nominations for honors, marketing events, and other game day set up. In addition, this position will have a specific focus on new media which will include providing content for the various social media platforms. Will develop communication content and assist in the execution of the communication strategy and goals of the UWSP Athletic Department. Finally, this position will be responsible for other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations.

Schedule will require weekend and evening hours.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Required Qualifications


  • One or more years of experience working in college athletics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication


Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge NCAA rules of lacrosse and other sports that UWSP sponsors
  • Working knowledge of NCAA Live Stats and Stat Crew software programs
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
  • Video streaming and/or video editing

Terms of Employment


This is an Academic Staff annual appointment, exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment. University sponsorship is not available for this position.
