Overview:

Humanitarian & Development (H&D) Operations is a team of problem solvers and strategic thinkers who are passionate about the power of digital transformation in rural and underserved communities. We love enabling and partnering with the end-to-end business to build, sell, and implement digital tools and innovate new business models that enable access to critical services for the 1+ billion underserved consumers – provisioning healthcare, distributing humanitarian aid, enabling farmers to access markets and financial services, and more.

This role offers a unique development opportunity to gain insight of the H&D business. The Humanitarian & Development Operations Analyst and EA to the EVP will own key operational processes and manage projects that contribute to the overall performance of the team. For example, this role will own Sourcing, including managing requisitions and contributing to scopes of work and vendor management. As Operations Analyst and EA to the EVP of the H&D team, the candidate will also own all team administration, including managing the EVP’s calendar and arranging travel, as well as having the opportunity to participate in team meetings with senior internal and external executives to manage next steps. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role helps to advance efficiencies and manage processes within H&D.

Role:

  • Manage key operational processes to ensure compliance and drive efficiencies across H&D: vendor onboarding, business continuity planning, audits, hiring and employee onboarding, hardware procurement and forecasting for customers, etc.
  • Provide sourcing coordination support across H&D teams to drive timely opening and tracking of requisitions, SOWs/ POs and invoices. Engage with vendors to ensure the timely completion of all sourcing related activities, including registration, contracting and payments.
  • Manage vendor relationships to assure successful compliance with their contractual obligations.
  • Schedule and maintain weekly EVP calendar ensuring all meeting support is planned and provided for.
  • Attend team meetings, document meeting highlights, coordinate follow up internally and externally to advance team goals.
  • Organize communication, training, and knowledge-sharing to drive internal team alignment, as well as support management of external communications to support operational processes and thought leadership.
  • Provide project management support across H&D teams to drive timely delivery of outputs and outcomes.
  • Manage end-to-end planning of team events and travel, including coordinating itineraries, logistics, security, visas, and preparing attendees with relevant content/pre-reads.
  • Facilitate data collection and analysis and reporting and communications of programmatic results and organizational activities.
  • Perform general administrative duties to support day-to-day operations including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel complex arrangements, expense reporting, executive calendar management, taking and distributing meeting minutes, ensuring operational efficiencies and coordination within the groups.
  • Manage internal and external special projects and prepare communications and reports as required.

  • Demonstrated operational management and execution skills with strong ability to manage multiple deliverables on a time-sensitive basis.
  • Ability to work with executive level management and related stakeholders with professionalism and maturity.
  • Ability to navigate complex internal procedures proactively and with proficiency.
  • Take initiative to solve problems to make operational processes within H&D as effective as possible.
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly and respond to urgent, unanticipated requests.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills and presentation skills, ideally at an executive level.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to operate in a corporate environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
  • Solid understanding of Mastercard’s operational and organizational infrastructure is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree.

NYC Salary Range: $69,000 - $107,000
Westchester County Salary Range: $69,000 - $107,000
